Thinking Of You

This is another card I made that will be going to Operation Write Home. I actually made two like this, the other one has magenta flowers and I used a different Thinking Of You stamp. The image is another free one that I found online. This one was colored with Copic markers. I am gradually getting the hang of these markers but I must admit that  my  preference  for coloring is pencils.

HOW TO PRINT IMAGES FOUND ONLINE.

The images you find will vary from big to small but you want to print it at the size you want it.....no problem. Don't print it from the web page. Save it to a folder on your computer.Open a Word document and then in the top toolbar go to Insert/Picture/From File. Navigate to the file where your images are saved, click on the image you want to highlight it and then click on Insert. The image will come up in the size it was saved. Click on the image and a box will appear around the image. Use your cursor to click and hold one of the corners and drag to the size you want the image to be. That's it! Simple and no loss of quality. You can add more images to the page at the size you want.You can also move the margins to fit them in. If possible set your printer to preview the page before printing and adjust the position of the images if needed.

Bring On The Clown.

This card is for someone whose birthday was yesterday. As a clown was requested and I  don't have a clown stamp I did a search and found this coloring page. The image was colored with colored pencils and OMS. Although it doesn't show up in the picture I used a glue pen and put glitter on the red dots on the clown's suit.

FSS Pansy line.

Another digital stamp this time from a Fred She Said set. You can buy the images as outline stamps or as a pre-colored set. I like to color my own images so I always buy the un-colored ones. The pansies were colored with Prismacolor pencils and OMS. I trimmed the panel to size and used a MS edge punch on the top and bottom of the panel. I used the same punch on a contrasing panel and then punched the bottom edge of the card base.

This card will go into my box of cards that I am getting together for Operation Write Home. This is a very worthwhile organization where you can donate all those cards you make and don't know what to do with!

Wildflower and Gingham

Another card I made for a swap on Crafty Card Creators. This is for a swap called Express Yourself. Of  course I had to use flowers!

The flower image is another one I found free on the internet. For the background I scored the panel using the Martha Stewart score board. I used a MS edge punch on the gingham panel. After coloring the image with Prismacolor pencils and OMS  I used one of my favorite techniques to cut it out. I used an oval Nestie die to trace around the image skipping the parts that hung over the edge and then cut it out with scissors.I then use a larger die to cut the black mat.

Leaving on a jet plane

I left early this morning for a trip to St. Louis to teach a class on Friday at a miniatures show. I have scheduled this post and more while I am gone for 10 days. 

 This is the last swap card for the month of April. This one is for the A Touch of Elegance swap. I hope it meets the requirement! LOL. The butterfly is from the Hero Arts Antique Engravings clear stamp set colored with Copic markers. I used a Spellbinders Shapabilities Fleur De Lis pendant and black and metallic gold cardstock for the layers.

I made this card for a sketch swap on Crafty Card Creators. The  image is a coloring book page I found on the internet. You can find this and many other images HERE. A change from flowers for me! The sentiment is from Stampin Up and I used Prismacolor pencils for the coloring.

More wildflowers

These are the last of my pictures taken in the Texas Hill Country and then I promise I will get back to cards! Boy am I glad we went on Tuesday because it has been raining ever since and shows no signs of letting up. I am not complaining after 2 years of drought.
