Silhouette #3

This is yet another card I made using a silhouette dig stamp.

I used a Martha Stewart edge punch, some DP, Nestabilities big scallop ovals and a piece of ribbon that came from a Christmas gift! You can download the image HERE

More Magnolias

When I use a digital stamp I always print more than one in case I make a boo boo and also I print in different sizes. This card is made from a smaller print of the same image as yesterday.

Magnolias

I just love this digi image from Just Inklined!  You can get this image, along with lots of others by donating to Help For Katie on Jak Heath's blog.  http://www.jakheath.com/2011/01/help-for-katie.html

The image was printed on white cardstock, colored with Prismacolor pencils and Turpenoid and cut out. I used a long ovals Nestie to cut the aperture in the card and glued the image on. The sentiment is stamped on the inside of the card.

Another CASE card

This is the CASE card I did for CASE  THIS on Card Camp.

The image is a digital image that I printed twice, once onto cardstock and once onto regular copy paper for a mask. I masked the image and used a script background stamp and Memento London Fog ink. The image is colored with Prismacolor pencils and Turpenoid.

Here Chicky, chicky

This cute image was a digital freebie but I don't remember where it is from. I am pretty sure I got it from a list of freebies that are posted on the Free Digital Stamps blog every day. I was beginning to think that this card was not meant to be after I put it together upside down! Fortunately I was able to remove the green checkered panel and the image panel without any damage and re-make it.

After coloring the image I used a .005 Micron pen to make little marks around the wings to look like blanket stitch and then a .03 Micron pen for the faux stitching around the panels.

Clematis

I love Clematis but unfortunately it gets to hot in South Texas to grow them but when I saw this stamp I had to have it!The stamp is Clematis Spray  from Hearfelt Creations. I bought the un-mounted version, put Aleene's Tack It Over and Over on the back and use it with an acrylic block. Buying un-mounted stamps is less expensive and they are easier to store!

The image is colored with Prismacolor pencils and Turpenoid. For some depth I stamped the greeting onto the card and onto a piece of scrap. I cut out the word WISHES, added dimensional tape and placed it over the original.

CASE

In my Yahoo group, Card Camp, we have one day a week where a card is chosen and we CASE it. It is just for fun and members have come up with some great cards!

This is the first card I did which is quite similar to the card I CASE ed. The image was stamped on a piece of scrap DP and colored with pencils and Turpenoid.

For the second card I did I used all scraps! The vertical strip was cut from a tag from a pack of Basic Grey DP and the hearts were punched from the same tag.The greeting is an unmounted stamp that I got in a bulk buy and the tiny hearts were also cut from the tag.

More Sweet Peas

Here I am again with a big gap in my blogging. I have been trying to re-organize my craft room but some of the things I ordered to accomplish this are held up in the mail, by the weather I assume, which has resulted in a big mess in my craft room and nowhere to work!
I did manage to make a space to make this card. The image is the second one on the sheet from Flourishes. The image was stamped and then colored with Prismacolor pencils and Turpenoid and then I used  EH 1840 Mattie Fall D stencil to do the embossing.

Stolen Ideas

I received a lovely birthday card from one of the ladies on Card Camp. This is the card Kris sent me.

I loved the idea of the double butterflies with vellum over cardstock. I needed a quick gift for an after holiday party today and decided to make a set of thank you cards.....something fairly quick and easy. The card from Kris gave me inspiration. For my butterflies I used a piece of vellum from my scrap drawer that had already been cuttlebugged.

Challenge

The first challenge of the new year on Card Camp was to use a stamp three times or more on your card. This is the card I made for that challenge.

I kinda went overboard with the number of times I stamped the same image! I realized that when it came to coloring  the images. LOL I stamped the image on a piece of copy paper twice and cut them out for masks. I then cut a 1-1/2" inche strip of copy paper  for a mask for the middle strip. With the strip mask in place I stamped the middle and end flowers. Then I used the flower masks and stamped the other flowers. With the strip mask still in place I colored the flowers with Prismacolor pencils and OMS. The mask was removed and replaced with the brown strip and the greeting strip.

Sweetpeas

I bought myself some stamps from Flourishes when they had a 25% off sale. I bought the three Year In Flowers sets and the Sweet  Peas set. This card is made with the small sweet peas image.

The image was stamped and colored with Prismacolor pencils and then cut and embossed with Nestabilities  Labels 4. I used the next larger size to cut and emboss a window  in the white panel. The window panel and the image panel are raised with dimensional tape.I used a Martha Stewart punch and vellum for the butterfly. After punching it out I colored it on the back with pencils and then used a stylus and needle tool for the white shading and lines. A couple of small half pearls for the body and the card was done!

Another birthday card

This is the card I made for my second granddaughter. She is 2 years younger than her sister. I used the same digi stamp from Sassy Cheryl's.

I could have used my Silhouette cutting machine for the word SIX but I don't use it very often so I cannot do things quickly with it. Instead I opted to cut the word out the old fashioned way.....with a craft knife and scissors! After coloring the image with Prismacolor pencils and OMS I cut her out and perched her on the word then used dimensional tape to raise them both up.

Last swap card for this month

For this swap we had to follow a sketch. Yet again I used a digi stamp. This lovely Peony was a freebie offered by Emag-e-nation. I found it by following this blog freedigitalstamps.blogspot.com where all the searching for free digi stamps is done for you and posted on the blog every day!

Another Swap Card

This is another card I did for a swap. The theme is Girly Girl. To me pink and flowers is very girly.

The image I used is a digi image but I have no idea where I got it. Probably by doing a search for 'coloring pages roses'. You will be surprised at what comes up that is not roses but very interesting all the same.

Another card tomorrow!

For a birthday girl

My granddaughters both have birthdays later this month one week apart. This is the card I made for the oldest who will be 8.

The image is a digi stamp from Sassy Cheryl's. I cut a slit in her hand for the circle with her age so that it looks like she is holding it.
I used the same image for my other granddaughter but with a different layout. I will share that card tomorrow.

Happy New Year!

I know I am a little late but I am so far behind! I started re-arranging/ re-organizing my craft room and oh boy what a mess! Why is it that when you do that you always end up with a bigger mess than you started with. LOL
I did manage to get some cards made in the last few days for some swaps and a couple of birthdays so these are the cards I will be sharing in the next few days.

This card, that I made for a swap, is prettier than it shows in the picture. The color of the word 'snow' actually matches the background paper but it has glitter on it so I guess that is what makes it look a different color. I also put a dab of diamond Stickles on the dots but that doesn't show up well either!

I will have another card to share tomorrow.
