This is the last sample card I made using the Heartfelt Creations stamp sets that coordinate with the Spellbinders Rose Creations dies.
Again I used HCPC 3409 Tropical Floral Swirls and the single flowers from the Botanical Floral 2 set. I love these stamp sets! The flowers were stamped, colored and cut out and adheresd to the side step card. The sentiment is a $1 stamp I bought at Michaels at least 2 years ago but it is one of my favorites.
This is the last card for this month. I made it! I had a contest going with my friend Gloria of Gingerbread and Pansies to post every day for the whole month. There were times when I didn't think I would make it. Thanks for the challenge Gloria it was fun but a lot of work!

Let It Snow!
Here in South Texas we will take any kind of wet stuff be it rain, sleet, hail or snow!
I made this card using a clear stamp set I bought last year but never used. The DP is punched with a Martha Stewart snowflake edge punch. The image is colored with pencils and the sentiment is from a clear $1 stamp set.

Thoughts of you

I think this card would qualify as a CAS (clean and simple) card. I used a Heartfelt Creations stamp Botanical Floral 1. I stamped the flower with Versamark ink onto watercolor paper and embossed it using white embossing powder. I then used markers to color the image and cut it out using scissors. The stamp coordinates with the Spellbinders Shapeabilities Rose Creations die set but I prefer to cut with scissors as the dies never seem to line up properly. The Rose Creations dies are great for making flowers though
I used a smaller stamp in the set with Versamark ink to stamp a background on the card base. A Martha Stewart punch on a white panel, a $1 stamp and some pearls added to the center of the flower finished it off.

Gracias
Continuing with Spellbinders this card uses the Fleur De Lis squares.

I cut and embossed two of the largest squares and one of the next smallest. To join the two large squares together I cut a piece of cardstock 3.25" x 7.50" and scored at 3.25", 3.75" and 4.25". The squares will fit exactly in the center of the outside squares with a valley fold in between and allows the card to open..

The stamp I used is an old $1 stamp that I colored with pencils. Three pearls colored with a Copic marker completes the card.

Don't throw away the bits!
This is the third card in the series using Spellbinder dies.
First I stamped the image which is an old $1 stamp from Michaels and then cut it out and embossed it with a Fancy Tags die. For the frame I used 2 sizes of Labels 14 and glued the tag to the frame. I used the bits from the negative spaces in the tag to decorate the frame. The DP was cut with the largest size label I used for the frame and adhered to the center of the embossed panel. The frame/tag combo was then attached with dimensional tape.

Thank you pendant
Here is the second card using Pendant and Label dies from Spellbinders.
I used two sizes of Labels 18 to cut and emboss the frame. The image was stamped and I used a Fleur De Lis Accent die to cut and emboss around the image. I cut another FDL accent and cut it in half. These halves were then adhered to each side of the frame leaving a gap in the middle. The second pendant was attached with dimensional tape to hide the gap and then the whole pieces was attached to the card with dimensional tape. I stamped and colored another image and cut out the flower and attached it with tape also.

Little Elf Finn
I recently purchased some Christmas digis from Mo's Digital Pencil to get a head start on holiday cards. This is the first card.
The image is colored with Prismacolor pencils and the sentiment is a $1 stamp that I bought last year at Michael's. I really need to look through my holiday stamps as I tend to buy them after the holidays when they are on sale to keep for the next year. The trouble is I forget what I have!

Chill Out in stitches
This is a card I made for a swap 'Dog Days Of Summer' on Card Camp. Here in Texas we are certainly in the dog days of summer with temperatures in the 100's every day.

The stamp is an older $1 stamp from Michaels. It is colored with Prismacolor pencils and Turpenoid and cut out with Nestabilities lacy squares.
This card is for the second swap I joined for August on Card Camp. For this card we had to have stitching on the card....real or faux.
The floral image I used for this card is a free digi image from Beccy. You can find it HERE I used a Nellie Snellen die MFD 033 and faux stitched with a blue Micron pen.

Multiple Thanks
I have been trying the newest embossing template I bought and realized that it is only usable at the bottom of a card because of the flowers! I really do like to get as much variety as I can from my budget so this was not a good buy for me. I will have to look more carefully in the future!
After embossing and cutting out the stencil, Mattie Open Passe-partout EH1827, I used a long rectangle Nestie to cut a window in the panel. I used a $1 stamp on the DP beneath the top panel and finished off with a butterfly from Hero Arts.

A challenge
The challenge this week on Card Camp was to make a birthday card with cake, candles or presents on it. This is the card I made.
The stamp I used is a $1 stamp from Michaels. The stamp is just one candle and the sentiment. I first stamped the whole image and then for the other candles I masked off the sentiment with tape before inking, removed the tape and stamped the candle. I did this 3 times. The candles are colored with Prismacolor pencils and Turpenoid. There is glitter on the flames but it doesn't show in the picture.

Tutti Fruiti
This is a card I made for a Tutti Fruiti swap on Card Camp where we had to use fruit on our card. I hope the recipient likes it! If you would like to join Card Camp click on the logo on the right to find out more about this group.
The cherry image is from Lockhart stamps and the sentiment is a $1 stamp from Michaels. I used a Nestie square die to cut an apperture in the white panel and then lined it with the checkered paper. The embossed lines were done on a Martha Stewart score board and the image is raised with dimensional tape.

Noel
I made this card for a challenge on Card Camp which is a group I own on Yahoo. If you would like to join us we would love to have you! You can just click on the button on the right of this page. The challenge is just for fun and was to make a card where the greeting is the focal point. I think this card would be great for a male.
The background on the card base was done with Antique Linen Distress ink and a Marble Texture Cube from Stampendous. The greeting is a $1 stamp stamped with Versamark ink and embossed with gild embossing powder although the sine doesn't show in the picture. A couple of scraps and it was done!

For July there are a few challenges at Crafter's Digital Art Center. I decided to join two.
This is the card for the color yellow challenge. The image is a freebie that was offered by Daisy Doodles. The sentiment is a $1 stamp.
This card is for the sketch challenge and the image is from Fred She Said. Both images were colored with Prismacolor pencils and OMS.

Vacation time is nearly here!
I am sorry I have been missing for so long. I don't know where May went! Most of my time has been spent getting my yard in shape before the really hot weather sets in. In two weeks I am leaving for a vacation. I fly to Honolulu on Friday and then on Saturday I will be boarding a cruise ship for a seven day cruise around the Hawaiian Islands.
I am going with two other ladies who I will meet up with in Honolulu. I made these cards to send to them before we set off.
I found the lei image online colored it and cut it out. The sandals are part of a $1 stamp from Michael's that I also colored and cut out. The greeting is from a clear $1 stamp. The lei and the sandals are raised with dimensional tape.
I found this image online too. I colored it and cut it out. I used a MS punch on the green panel and Nesties to cut out the ovals. The ovals are glued together and raised with dimensional tape as is the hula girl.
Now that the yard work is done I hope to have some time to craft before I leave!

Simple, simple
I have a couple of quick and easy cards to share today.
For this card I used a $1 stamp that I found at a Michael's I usually don't go to. I have discovered that not all the stores have the same $1 stamps! The papers are from a Basic Grey Archaic 6x6 stack.
When you colored the image and then don't have paper or card stock in the right color......go with black and white it goes with everything! LOL That is what happened here. I stamped the image from a clear set from Inkadinkado that I bought at the weekend on sale at Joann's. Once again....and I should have learned by now....I colored the image with pencils before I checked my paper stash! Another find at the weekend was this new to me MS punch which was on clearance.
Now I am going to clear off my desk which is disgusting. I love to make the mess but hate cleaning it up!

Swaps and challenges
I have 3 cards to share with you today that I made over the weekend for swaps and a challenge.

This card is for a swap on Crafty Card Creators for the Express Yourself swap. The pansies in a teacup is a digi image from Fred She Said colored with pencils and OMS.

This third card is for a challenge to use blue, yellow, green and white on a card. I used scraps of checkered paper which I stamped and then stamped the flower again, cut them out and adhered to a different color background. The stamp is a $1 stamp from Michaels.

Two for One
I fell in love with the DP that I used for these two cards. They are similar but I picked different colors from the DP for the card base and a different sentiment.

The sentiment I used for this card is from a set of six from Hero Arts.

The sentiment on this card is from a $1 clear set from Michaels. The pink jewel on each card is from the $1 bin at Michaels.

Sweet Pea
The challenge this week on Crafty Card Creators Yahoo group is to make a card for a baby. This is my card for that challenge.

I used green and lavender so that the card can be used for a boy or girl. To make the bib I used Nestabilities oval and scalloped ovals to cut the shapes. After adhering the ovals together I used a round hole punch to cut out the neck opening and trimmed off a couple of scallops and cut the top edge straight. I used a white gel pen to add dots to the scalloped border.
The Welcome stamp is an old one from Stampin Up and the Sweet Pea stamp is a $1 stamp from
Michael's. The stamp has the pea next to the words so I used a black marker to color the part of the stamp I wanted to use and then cleaned it off and colored the other part. You don't have to use your stamps exactly as they come! When using a marker on a stamp you have to huff on it after you color it because the ink dries really fast. The baby and the pea are colored with pencils.
