Poppies
I had forgotten that I had bought this stamp which is a part of the set A Little Bit Sketchy by Sheena Douglass. I stamped it a few times to experiment with different coloring mediums. This was colored with Bic Mark-It alcohol markers that I bought at Walmart on a whim.
After I had colored it I liked the way it turned out so I decided to make it into a card. As it was stamped randomly it took some working out to make it work for a card but I quite like the way it turned out. After I punched the corners and the side I was left with a space. I hadn't used my punches in so long that I had forgotten that the paper had to be a certain size! To cover this up I used a craft knife to cut around the top of the poppy and the side of the stem so that the sentiment banner would hide my mistake.

Angel
I have had this dig already colored and cut out hanging around for a long time. I found it under a bunch of stuff on my table and thought I had better use it before it got buried again!
The digi is 'Twilight' from Crafts And Me colored with Prismacolor pencils. The border is a Martha Stewaart Punch around the Page. Behind the angel is frame made with Spellbinders Labels 10 and behind that is a medallion made from part of a Hearfelt Creations gate fold die set.

Medallion and Digi
Along the same lines as yesterday I made another card using parts of a medallion and a digi stamp.
The medallion I used here is an older from Marianne Designs LRO 129. The butterflies are from a Martha Stewart punch. The diasy corner digi is from Dianne. That is all the info I have. If digi designers would put their url as part of the digi name it would make it a lot easier to give credit where credit is due!

One stamp two ways
I was looking through my Christmas digi stamps and found this. I believe I got it from Jak Heath but it is signed 'Jim'. After printing the stamp twice I colored them in two different colorways and made two different cards with the same stamp.

Post-It Note card
One of the Card Camp members, Paula, made some lovely cards with Post-It Note holders inside the card and I wanted to try it. This is my result.
This is the card when it is closed.
It opens up to be an easel card. The original directions can be found HERE I modified the directions to fit my card and the size of the Post-It Notes I used. You can see what Paula did on her wonderful blog HERE.
What a great holiday gift these would make for co-workers, neighbors etc.! Now that I have got my feet wet I will be making more. They can be addictive!

Swaps
These are a couple of cards I made for swaps on Card Camp. The recipients have them now so I can share.
For this swap we had to use a scarecrow. I punched the leaves and then sponged them with tea dye distress ink. The leaves are just tacked down with a dot of glue so that they are dimensional.
This swap was a shimmer and shine swap. The flowers are painted with Twinkling H20's so they are very shimmery but it doesn't show in the picture. I put gold Stickles in the center of the flowers.

Snowman Face
I bought a new-to-me-punch around the page set of Martha Stewart punches so I had to use them. What I have discovered with these punches is that you have to cut your cardstock exactly the right size for the marks on the punches to line up exactly. I use a very old office type guillotine cutter that has rather a thick line for the inch mark and I learned that I have to have the edge of the cardstock exactly in the middle of the line. Not easy to do!
After punching the edges I used a square Nestie to make a frame. The doily is from a Marianne Designs Creatables die and I used a Martha Stewart punch to make the rosette. What doesn't show is the glitter on the rosette.

Black and White
Another Heartfelt Creations stamp. HCPC 3409 Tropical Floral Swirls.
I stamped the image on black cardstock with Versamark ink and embossed with white embossing powder. I then used the individual flowers from the Botanical Floral 2 HCPC 3407 to stamp and cut out three extra flowers that are attached with dimensionals. The border is a Martha Stewart punch Swirling Lace. A few red gems finish it off.

More Tealights
As I bought 50 of the tealights I have been going to town! My biggest problem is that I don't have many solid stamps. I tend to buy outline stamps that I can color. I did find this solid flower stamp from Stampin Up in my stash and as I don't have many colored ink pads I used markers to color on the stamp. Very time consuming when you are using different colors!
While mulling over the fact that I don't have solid stamps I came up with another idea. Use printed tissue paper. I usually buy pretty tissue paper at Christmas time. When I went into my Christmas wrapping box I didn't have one single sheet! I know it will work so the next time I am at the Dollar Tree that is what I will be looking for!

Let It Snow!
Here in South Texas we will take any kind of wet stuff be it rain, sleet, hail or snow!
I made this card using a clear stamp set I bought last year but never used. The DP is punched with a Martha Stewart snowflake edge punch. The image is colored with pencils and the sentiment is from a clear $1 stamp set.

Thoughts of you

I think this card would qualify as a CAS (clean and simple) card. I used a Heartfelt Creations stamp Botanical Floral 1. I stamped the flower with Versamark ink onto watercolor paper and embossed it using white embossing powder. I then used markers to color the image and cut it out using scissors. The stamp coordinates with the Spellbinders Shapeabilities Rose Creations die set but I prefer to cut with scissors as the dies never seem to line up properly. The Rose Creations dies are great for making flowers though
I used a smaller stamp in the set with Versamark ink to stamp a background on the card base. A Martha Stewart punch on a white panel, a $1 stamp and some pearls added to the center of the flower finished it off.

Thanks
Today I used two items that I have never used before to create my card.
The edge punch I used is from Martha Stewart. My daughter bought it for me a long time ago when she found it on clearance. The other thing I used was the digi image I found on the net somewhere and printed but never colored. I really thought that I would never use the punch but I quite like it used in this way.

Birthday in black & white
I have been playing around with some of my Spellbinder dies. For the next few days I will be showing you what I came up with.
For this card I used a Fleur De Lis Pendant die from Spellbinders. After cutting and embossing the die I found a Nestabilities square that fit the die and cut a square from the center of the panel and then used a Martha Stewart Punch around the page punch set. The border still looked very bare so I cut 4 of the small dies in the Pendant set and adhered them to the corners.
It still needed something else but the only stamp I had that would fit was part of a wood mounted $1 stamp that had a candle on it along with the words. Into the microwave the stamp went and off came the rubber. I cut between the candle and the words and it is now 2 unmounted stamps! A little Tack It Over And Over glue on the back and now I can use it as one stamp or I can use it separately. Do you ever cut your stamps up?

Birthday in white
There was no plan when I started to make this card except that I wanted to use some of the flowers I bought from Wild Orchid Crafts.
I used a Martha Stewart punch on the bottom of the card and on the flap. I fitted a corner of a Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder into the triangle and then used a scoreboard to make lines between the dots and the edge. A Spellbinder labels 13, a stamp from Just Rite and a Marianne Designs Createables Frames and Swirls LR0116 finishes it off.

Cut it out in circles
I used the same die for this card as the cut it out card but this time I used circle apertures.

Angel in green
I found this image amongst the stuff on my desk that I had put aside. It was already colored and cut out so I decided to make a simple card with it.
A Martha Stewart punch and Spellbinders Labels 1 made short work of making the card. The digital stamp is from Crafts And Me. It is colored with Prismacolor pencils and Turpenoid.

Exploding box
I thought I would do something a little different from a card so I made this exploding box.
This box is small, 2.75" x 2.75". I don't know what I am going to do with it that is why the inside panels are blank. It was fun to do. I used flowers from Wild Orchid, Martha Stewart punches and dies from Marianne Designs.
