Victoria

I came across this image that I had colored a long time ago and decided that I had better use it before it got lost completely.
I used  new to me set of Spellbinder dies, Adorning Squares and Floral Ovals. The image is a digi from Sugar Nellie that I colored with Prismacolor pencils.

Old school?

I have finally made a card! I decided to make something I haven't used in a long while....a stencil!

The silhouette is a digi. The stencil I used is Marianne Designs Emily 1. After embossing the stencil twice using a lightbox and embossing tool and cutting with a knife I used a clear Stardust Gelly Roll pen to go around the outer edges of the embossing and the lines of the veil on the hat. I don't know if this enhanced it or not but it is what it is LOL  Does anyone use this method of embossing anymore? It seems like we are all going to the cut and emboss dies. While there are many pretty ones out there what I don't like about them is that you get the outline of the die embossed onto your paper.

More Marianne & Sugar Nellie

I used Creatables LRO 180 for this simple easel card. The dig is from Sugar Nellie colored with pencils. To keep the easel standing I just used a row of liquid pearls.

More from Marianne

This is a very simple card using the die LRO202 on a gate fold fold card.

To use the die in this way you have to have the 'gates' overlapping so that they will meet in the middle when they are cut. You will also have to make the card base taller than you want it so that you can move the dies into position and then you will have to cut some off the top and the bottom. After making the card base I just added some colored paper to the inside with a frame made with the two largest Spellbinders labels 4 dies. The image is a digi from Sugar Nellie colored with Prismacolor pencil and Turpenoid and then cut out.

Angel

I have had this dig already colored and cut out hanging around for a long time. I found it under a bunch of stuff on my table and thought I had better use it before it got buried again!

The digi is 'Twilight' from Crafts And Me colored with Prismacolor pencils. The border is a Martha Stewaart Punch around the Page. Behind the angel is frame made with Spellbinders Labels 10 and behind that is a medallion made from part of a Hearfelt Creations gate fold die set.

Medallion and Digi

Along the same lines as yesterday I made another card using  parts of a medallion and a digi stamp.

The medallion I used here is an older from Marianne Designs LRO 129. The butterflies are from a Martha Stewart punch. The diasy corner digi is from Dianne. That is all the info I have. If digi designers would put their url as part of the digi name it would make it a lot easier to give credit where credit is due!

Challenge

The challenge this week at my Card Camp Yahoo Group is to make a card using pink and gray and also have something on it beginning with the letter D. This is the card I made for the challenge.

The D is for Dahlia. I colored the digi image using Prismacolor pencils. For the gray I used paper from my stash. The medallion is from Marinanne Designs LRO 185. I cut the card base smaller so that it would still fit in a standard sized envelope.

Back to Christmas

I used the same Cuttlebug embossing folder, one of a set of five called Winter Wonderland,  as I used on the star cards for this card. Again I used an image that I had previously colored a darling image from Mo's Digital Pencil. I cut it out with scissors and attached it to the card with dimensional tape.

Swaps

These are a couple of cards I made for swaps on Card Camp. The recipients have them now so I can share.

For this swap we had to use a scarecrow. I punched the leaves and then sponged them with tea dye distress ink. The leaves are just tacked down with a dot of glue so that they are dimensional.

This swap was a shimmer and shine swap. The flowers are painted with Twinkling H20's so they are very shimmery but it doesn't show in the picture. I put gold Stickles in the center of the flowers.

More In Spades

I have another card to share using the same dies.

For this card I just used the largest die and a couple of the negative bits from a previous card and a round Nestie. The rose is colored with Prismacolor pencils and I added a little sparkle to the petals with glitter. I also used, and messed up, liquid pearls but I thought I would share my boo boo too!

In Spades

I bought the Spellbinders Pendant In Spades dies and forgot about them! Anyway now that I have discovered them I thought that I would try making a few cards using the dies and try to make them as different as possible.

On this card I used two of the dies and some of the negative pieces. The frame is made with a Martha Stewart Punch Around The Page set.

For the second card I used the same large die but with a different smaller die. On both cards I used a Nestie oval to cut out the image. Stay tuned for more using this die set!

Thanks

Today I used two items that I have never used before to create my card.

The edge punch I used is from Martha Stewart. My daughter bought it for me a long time ago when she found it on clearance. The other thing I used was the digi image I found on the net somewhere and printed but never colored. I really thought that I would never use the punch but I quite like it used in this way.

Little Elf Pippa

This is the second of the little elf cards made with digis from Mo's Digital Pencil.

These are so cute and so much fun to color!

Little Elf Finn

I recently purchased some Christmas digis from Mo's Digital Pencil to get a head start on holiday cards. This is the first card.

The image is colored with Prismacolor pencils and the sentiment is a $1 stamp that I bought last year at Michael's. I really need to look through my holiday stamps as I tend to buy them after the holidays when they are on sale to keep for the next year. The trouble is I forget what I have!

Star Angel

This is another digital stamp that I had already colored and not used.It is another from Crafts and Me.

After cutting the half circle I used a star punch to punch around the curved edge. I colored the punch-outs with a yellow marker and glued them on.

A friend has said that she is gong to update her blog every day during September. So that she doesn't feel alone I am going to try and match her! You can take a peek at her lovely blog HERE

Angel in green

I found this image amongst the stuff on my desk that I had put aside. It was already colored and cut out so I decided to make a simple card with it.

A Martha Stewart punch and Spellbinders Labels 1 made short work of making the card. The digital stamp is from Crafts And Me. It is colored with Prismacolor pencils and Turpenoid.

Nellie Snellen dies

These are some sample cards I made for Dutch Paper Crafts with Nellie Snellen dies. You can order the dies from Darlene HERE

Nellie Snellen die MFD029

MFD030 The image is a digi from Sugar Nellie.

 MFD031.
This package has 2 corner dies. One is a positive die that I cut and glued onto the card. The second is a negative die that I used 4 times to make a border.

MFD032

I used dies from 2 different sets for this card. MFD029 and MFD030.

MFD033.

I think this is my favorite. The die cuts tiny holes in the scallops so that you can stitch if you would like. I saved the cut outs from the die and glued them onto the inside.

Beccy's Front Door

My friend Beccy drew a lovely front door that she is sharing on her blog. I love pictures of doors so I just had to make a card with it. You can find a line drawing and a colored image HERE.

The image is colored with Prismacolor pencils and Turpenoid. I used the Tiny Mosaic Cuttlebug folder on the green frame around the image and then used dimensional tape to raise it up. The sentiment is a 1989 Stampendous stamp from my collection. I have no idea why I bought it all those years ago because I have only been stamping and card making for 3 years!

One year ago today I launched my Yahoo Group Card Camp. It has been a fun year with a lot of learning, sharing and caring. Happy Birthday Card Camp!

Chill Out in stitches

This is a card I made for a swap  'Dog Days Of Summer' on Card Camp. Here in Texas we are certainly in the dog days of summer with temperatures in the 100's every day.

The stamp is an older $1 stamp from Michaels.  It is colored with Prismacolor pencils and Turpenoid and cut out with Nestabilities lacy squares.

This card is for the second swap I joined for August on Card Camp. For this card we had to have stitching on the card....real or faux.

The floral image I used for this card is a free digi image from Beccy. You can find it HERE I used a Nellie Snellen die MFD 033 and faux stitched with a  blue Micron pen.
